History of Online Stock Trading

Today, the internet is everywhere. It is omnipresent in all areas of life, including stock trading. The history of online stock trading is very interesting. The ancestor of online stock trading was Nasdaq, which was a fully electronic stock trading system. This is not like the stock market on Wall Street which is a physical location. Nasdaq went electronic in 1971.
After that, E-Trade became one of the first online stock trading markets, partnering with the nascent America Online in the mid-1990s. After that, E-Trade grew and grew as millions of middle-class people bought stocks and invested in the dot-com companies. Because of E-Trade's low prices and cool feel, it was a big success.
